Tachi-Waza

 

Sode-tsuri-komi-goshi (lift pull sleeve hip throw)

-with left hand grab uke's right arm at sleeve end

-left arm up as straight as possible

-left side hip throw

Te-guruma (hand wheel)

-counter type

-uke comes in on a hip throw bending forward somewhat

-grab inside of uke's leg from the back

-drive and turn uke to back

hikkomi‑gaeshi (drawing turn throw)

‑reach right hand over uke's back to his belt  on uke's right                    side

‑push uke's head down with left elbow

‑step between uke's legs throwing uke in a somersault

seoi‑otoshi (shoulder drop)

‑like a combination of morote‑seoi and tai‑otoshi

Yoko‑tomoe‑nage (side high circle throw)

‑tori turns into a standard right forward throw

‑from this position the uke and tori are both facing same                        direction

‑turn and place left foot into uke's right hip

‑drop to left side perpendicular to uke


‑throw uke over head to uke's right side

Yoko‑tomoe‑nage (side high circle throw)(Doug Tono's)

-uke slightly bent over

-tori takes standard right shizentai

-attack uke's right foot to make him step back

-tori raise left foot into uke's right pelvis

-tori swing right leg between uke's legs and drop onto back

-when uke is up throw by pulling left arm below outside left                   knee and pushing right arm across to the left

Nidan-Kosoto-Gari

-tori attacks with a right o-soto-gari

-uki lifts right in a block

-tori plants right(attacking)foot on mat behind and between                    uki's legs

-tori attacks uki's left leg with left leg sweep from behind

Eri-Seoi-Nage (Collar Shoulder Throw)

-tori's left hand on uke's right lapel

-throw like ippon-seoi-nage right side

Kani-Basami (flying scissors)

-approach uke from left side

-put right leg in front and left leg in back(behind ankles)

-scissor legs throwing uke backwards

Yama-Arshi(mountain storm)

-tori with right hand on uke's left sleeve and

left hand on uke's left lapel

-turn in like ashi-guruma

-throw with a sweep of uke's right leg

O-soto-otoshi (major outer drop)

-step in like uke-goshi

-leave left foot planted

-reach right leg outside uke's right side

-throw similar to o-soto-gari

uchi-mata-sukashi

-uke enters into uchi-mata leaning forward

-step to left side away from uke

-pull left hand inward and down

-push left hand up and out

-driving forward toward uke

-turn uke toward head to throw

Ko-uchi-makikomi (minor inner winding throw)

-tori enters as a ippon seoi-nage with right foot between                        uke's legs

-slide right arm down uke's right leg keeping hold of left arm

-wrap right leg around uke's right leg as high as possible

-do forward roll over uke's right side


 

 

Cross-Grip Techniques

O-Goshi

-grab uke 's left hand with left hand

-right hand around uke's waist

-enter into right o-goshi

Uchi-mata

-grab uke 's left hand with left hand

-enter right technique by pulling arm across uke's body

-it is necessary to step deep into uke

Kata-Guruma

-tori takes uke's right hand with right hand and right collar                      with left hand

-push uke's right hand between uke's legs

-tori drops to both knees pulling left hand over own shoulder

-throw over shoulder to left side of tori

Tani-otoshi

-grab uke 's left hand with left hand

-step forward toward uke's left side

-drop into technique

eri seoi-nage

-tori takes left hand on uke's left lapel

-uke is right shizentai

-tori does right eri-seoi-nage keeping left lapel grip

Koshi-guruma

-tori takes left hand on uke's left lapel

-tori attacks with standard koshi-guruma

O-uchi-makikomi (major inner winding throw)

-tori takes uke's left hand with his left hand

-right arm around uke's left side to belt

-stand in right shizentai

-drop forward to left knee facing uke

-advance right leg around uke's left leg like o-uchi-gari               except bring knee past leg not touching it to met

-slide right hand behind uke's left knee and pull

-drive forward onto stomach
